1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use fairfixev.com, create a FairFix account, book a service or take our training. By doing any of these you accept them. If you act for a garage or another organisation, you confirm you are allowed to do so on its behalf.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information.
2. Your account
- Give accurate details and keep them up to date.
- An account is for one person. Keep your password to yourself and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.
- You are responsible for what is done with your account.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
3. Service bookings
A booking is a request. We contact you to confirm the time, the work and the price before any work starts. Parts, price and any warranty are agreed with you for each job.
4. Training
Courses are bought at the price shown before you pay, and your access starts once we have confirmed your payment. If we later stop offering a course to new learners, you keep access to the course you paid for.
5. Certificates
A certificate is awarded when you complete the course requirements, and each carries its own serial number. A certificate shows you completed our training; on its own it is not a licence or an authorisation to work on high-voltage systems. We may withdraw a certificate obtained by cheating or by submitting someone else's work as your own.
6. Safety
Electric vehicles carry high-voltage systems that can cause serious injury or death. Work on them only if you are trained and authorised to, use the right protective equipment, and follow the safety rules taught in our courses and your workplace's own procedures.
7. Partner garages
If you manage a garage account, you are responsible for the team members you enrol, and for telling them that the garage will see their training progress and certificates.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- share your account or the course materials with people who have not enrolled;
- copy or redistribute course materials without our written permission;
- upload anything unlawful, harmful or that you do not have the right to share;
- interfere with the site or try to reach accounts or information that are not yours;
- misuse other people's information.
9. Content and ownership
The course materials and site content belong to FairFix or the people who license them to us. You may use them for your own learning.
The work you submit stays yours. You allow us to store, review and give feedback on it so we can deliver your training.
10. Changes to the service
We may change, pause or retire parts of the site, our services or our courses. Paid access to a course continues as described above.
11. Liability
We provide the site, our services and our training with reasonable care and skill. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
12. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. We will first try to settle any dispute with you directly; if that fails, the courts of Addis Ababa decide it.
14. Changes to these terms
When we change these terms we update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
